Cancellation policies and travel insurance.
Cancellations for Guided Trips:
We are a small company and have limited capacity so often turn down other potential bookings once you have confirmed a trip with us. Our tours also incur costs at and immediately after the time of booking that are usually not recoverable by us. These only increase closer to the tour date. Therefore:
60+ days prior to departure = $85 per person cancellation fee
59 - 30 days prior to departure = $200 per person cancellation fee
29 - 10 days prior to departure = refund of 50% of full ticket price
9 days or less prior to departure = no refund
Please note this cancellation policy applies to your original trip booking date, if you postpone, the cancellation policy applies to your original date.
Please note that due to circumstances out of our control, itineraries may change at any time. We will always endeavour to ensure that where changes are made, clients are notified as soon as possible.
Travel Insurance:
We strongly suggest clients take out a comprehensive travel insurance policy before your trip. If you do have to cancel within our policy timelines due to illness or accident, we are only to happy to provide you with a letter of confirmation for you to use to potentially make a claim with your medical insurance provider or the ACC in New Zealand.
Cancellations for Freedom hire :
60+ days prior to departure = $85per person cancellation fee

Accommodation Terms and Conditions
Deposit Policy
We require the first night's tariff as a deposit to confirm your booking with us. (2 nights for weekends) This can be paid by credit card, or by cheque (which must be received at least 14 days prior to first nights stay), or online. No booking can be guaranteed until deposit has been received.
Cancellations
Cancellations will only be accepted on notification more than 7 days prior to your arrival. You will incur a 10% administration fee. However, within this 7 days your booking is non refundable. (NB. No refunds for early departures or reduced guest numbers. Bookings are non transferable.*)
